Pinch Me House

Home of Tina & James Wayne
1802 Bayshore (Key Allegro)

As you enter the front foyer of this Mediterranean style villa, the breathtaking views of Aransas Bay greet you through large windows lining the back of 1802 Bayshore Drive, the residence of Tina and James Wayne.  The 5,000 square foot four-bedroom, one-office, and six-bath home was built on two lots.  The lots had been owned by a local resident who hired an architect to design a new house, but they ended up selling the lots and the blueprints to another buyer, who built the current single family residence in 2004.  The Waynes purchased it along with many of the furnishings in 2014.  The interior of the home is reflective of Tina and James’ many travels abroad over the years, including over 20 trips to Africa.  The main living, dining and kitchen area is a lovely, inviting expanse with lofty ceilings and walls beautifully decorated with acquired art and artifacts.  Tina loves to cook and bake in the large, beautifully appointed kitchen with one or more of her rescued pets at her side.  The bedrooms are on both sides of the main living area.  A “must see” feature is the windowed fireplace that sits above the bathtub between the master bath and master bedroom.  It’s just one of many cozy yet romantic accents throughout the home.  An infinity pool spans the length of the lot behind the main living area, featuring a “swim-up” bar with 5 submerged bar stools.  When asked if they have a name for their home, Tina replied “Pinch Me!” because she still can’t believe it’s really theirs.
